It was a perfect weekend for the TRU WolfPack women's soccer team.
Playing its second straight road set, the WolfPack dumped the Capilano Blues 4-0 in Vancouver on Saturday and the Vancouver Island Mariners 2-0 in Nanaimo on Sunday. The victories leave TRU 5-1-0 and first in the Pacific Western Athletic Association.
Courtney Daly opened the scoring for TRU on Saturday, with another rookie, Madi Ellis, making it 2-0 before the first half was finished. Bronwyn Crawford made it 3-0 in the 82nd minute, and Alanna Bekkering finished the scoring.
Emily Edmundson had the shutout on Saturday, and then had another clean sheet on Sunday - she now has three for the season.
Blair MacKay opened the scoring in the 15th minute Sunday, and Vanessa Zilkie put the game away in the 62nd minute.
TRU will play at home for the first time since opening weekend when it plays host to the UBC-Okanagan Heat on Saturday, 1 p.m., at Hillside Stadium. The teams also will play Sunday in Kelowna.

The WolfPack men's soccer team had its second consecutive weekend split.
TRU came back to beat Capilano 3-2 in Vancouver on Saturday, before falling 2-0 to the Mariners in Nanaimo on Sunday.
The WolfPack, which is 2-3-1, will be in Kelowna to play the Heat on Saturday and at home to UBC-Okanagan on Sunday.
Capilano scored two goals in the first 15 minutes of Saturday's game, only to have TRU fight back.
Seb Gardner started the comeback in the 26th minute, booting in a free kick. Jacob Kaay tied the game in the 53rd minute, before scoring the go-ahead goal three minutes later.

The WolfPack women's volleyball team went 1-4 at an exhibition tournament in Regina on the weekend.
The WolfPack lost its first four games at the eight-team tournament, but defeated the host Regina Cougars in three sets (25-21, 25-17, 25-11) in the seventh-place match Sunday.
In the round-robin, TRU lost to the Calgary Dinos, Saskatchewan Huskies, Winnipeg Wesmen and Regina.
TRU has an another exhibition tournament at Calgary's Mount Royal University starting Oct. 5, before it opens the Canada West regular season on Oct. 26.
