Kamloops is hosting the 93rd Annual B.C. Honey Producers annual general meeting, trade show and conference on Nov. 8, 9 and 10 at the Kamloops Hotel and Conference Centre. The theme of the conference is Innovation in Apiculture.
The conference features eight presenters on diverse beekeeping subjects, such as beginning beekeeping, integrated pest management, urban beekeeping, B.C. research in apiculture, and backward beekeeping. In addition we will have panel discussions on specialized apicultural practices, such as queen rearing, and presentations on innovative natural pest management products and healing with honey.
We welcome local beekeepers and interested members of the public to attend the conference, banquet, and silent and live auction on Nov. 9 in support of apiculture research in B.C. or attend the education sessions on Nov. 10.
Everyone is welcome to view the trade show, as well as funny 3-D video entitled The Kippers, which is about why beekeepers are so passionate about keeping bees!
For conference registration forms go to www.bcbeekeepers.com. You are welcome to join us! Save the bees!
