    Business Briefs: Fall tour stops in Kamloops

    Kamloops is one of eight stops for the Small Scale Food Processor Assocation fall tour.

    Each stop includes presentations to help small businesses, including adopting digital technology, worker safety and an overview of online food processing resources.

    Local builder Tim Kasten is a winner of Canadian Home Builders Assocation’s Beaver award.

    The award is presented to an outstanding builder in recognition for service to the association at the provincial level. Kasten has been involved with the association for a decade, including as provincial president.

    Home Hardware has recognized local owner Rick Kurzac with its Paul Strauss Public Relations Award.

    The prize is given to dealers who excel at making their stores more visible in the community.

    Staff have volunteered with locally based Developing World Connections. The centre also supports B.C. Wildlife Park and helped to bring Junior B hockey to the city.
