A driver climbs into a truck in an attempt to remove the vehicle from a sandwich situation on Columbia Street shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday. RCMP were on scene investigating the three-vehicle crash, which shut down both uphill lanes for a short period. Police said a mechanical failure appears to blame, stating that two vehicles had stopped for a crosswalk and that the full-size pickup was unable to stop behind them.
