NDP MLAs from across the province will meet in Kamloops next week.
The party said its MLAs will meet with businesses, municipal officials and groups during the visit here Wednesday and Thursday. The party regularly tours the province for its caucus meetings, which get together every six weeks when the legislature is not in session.
Caucus chair Shane Simpson said critics will speak with representatives in their area, including in social services and business.
Efforts will include working on the party’s platform in preparation for the spring election next year.
Leader Adrian Dix is also scheduled to appear at a $100-a-plate fundraiser Wednesday evening.
“The reality is we need to raise money,” said Kamloops-South Thompson NDP candidate Tom Friedman.
Friedman is holding his own fundraising affair on Oct. 27, a masked ball
”We have a lot of supporters who can certainly afford $100 a plate — part of it is a tax credit.”
