There are tickets remaining for the Kamloops Sports Council’s Annual Sport For Life Conference, which is scheduled for Oct. 12-13.

The conference will include an Oct. 12 social, featuring a speech from Scott Ackles of VIA Sport, the new name for 2010 Legacies Now. On Oct. 13, there will be plenary sessions and breakout sessions, along with a speech from Kamloops’ Jessica Vliegenthart, who competed in wheelchair basketball at last month’s Paralympics in London.

Tickets for the full conference — both Oct. 12 and 13 functions — are $85, and tickets for the individual events also are available. For more information, visit www.kamloopssportscouncil.com.
