The visiting artist collective Dodolab wants to know what youth in Kamloops think about the place culture, art and creativity has in the community.
Which is why Dodolab will host three workshops with the Kamloops Art Gallery to identify and map existing places of culture and ones youth would like to see, KAG education co-ordinator Marlaina Buch said in a press release.
The outcome of these workshops will guide Dodolab artists Lisa Hirmer and Andrew Hunter on their documentary explorations of the city, said Buch.
Workshops take place Oct. 17, 18 and 19 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. On Oct. 20 youth who took part in the workshops are invited to share his or her ideas with the Kamloops Farmer’s Market.
To sign up for the workshops phone Buch at 250-377-2405.
Dodolab is a collaborative program lead by artists Hirmer and Hunter that’s engaged with provocative, experimental and creative approaches in research and community actions.
