TNRD hopefuls set for byelection

Two former TNRD directors will face off for the right to represent the rural area surrounding Barriere in a byelection.

Mike Fennell, elected Barriere mayor during the 2007 incorporation but defeated last year to Bill Humphreys will be on the ballot.

He will run against Barriere businessman Bill Kershaw, who represented the rural area for a number of terms and is a former vice-chairman of the TNRD board.

The Nov. 17 byelection will fill the seat made vacant by director Bonnie CruzelleMyram, who died in July.
