Kamloops RCMP say they will continue their blitz on distracted driving at various intersections around the city.
Monday's kickoff, which lasted three hours, resulted in seven charges of texting while driving, nine charges of not wearing a seatbelt, and two charges of disobeying a red light, Staff Sgt. Grant Learned said Wednesday.
Several people were also seen with coffee in their hands, he noted.
Methods for spotting distracted drivers will include the use of plainclothes officers, Learned warned.
The blitz will continue through October.
