City council jumped on the bandwagon Tuesday to push ahead with a bid for the 2015 B.C. Special Olympic Winter Games.
Games vice-president of sport Lois McNary told council the event attracts 700 participants and hundreds more coaches and family members.
Kamloops hosted the event in 2003 and left a good impression, she said, asking council for an official invitation.
Council complied with a letter of invitation and a promise for in-kind support such as access to City sports facilities.
