Job fair connects employers with job-seekers

Prospective employers will line up to scope out the talent in Kamloops during the B.C. Jobs Start Here Job Fair visit on Tuesday.

The fair is meant to connect British Columbians who are looking for work with employers looking for qualified employees.

Post-secondary educational institutions, industry associations, training and health authorities will have booths at the event, happening at the Thompson Rivers University Grand Hall in the Campus Activity Centre from noon to 7 p.m.

The fair is part of a provincial government plan to promote economic development and job growth in the province.

It’s one of 24 being held across B.C. in October and November.
