The Kamloops Child Development Society is hoping to stay in the running for the Aviva Community Fund.
The centre is hoping to win a grant so it can build a nature playground for children.
As of Tuesday, the centre had collected 227 votes on the avivacommunityfund.org website, enough to push it into round two.
The centre is one of several Kamloops-area projects hoping to make it all the way to the finals on Dec. 20. The other projects include a Westsyde waterpark, Ruckell Point Scouts Camp improvements, a mentoring program at the Pregnancy Care Centre, and a renovation project at the Pavilion Theatre.
