We need tankers for our needed oil

Oil protesters’ signs say, “Keep tankers off our oceans!”

How do they think the oil gets to Canada, the U.S. and many other countries? Via the ocean, that’s how we get our oil. It’s transported from Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc., by old tankers in disrepair lining up to offload in our harbours!

Just take note when in Vancouver, Prince Rupert or the Seattle harbour of the number of tankers registered from other countries just waiting to offload.

Why not have up-to-date Canadian tankers do the job? We do need oil tankers and pipelines to fuel our economy, jobs, transportation, heat and many more reasons to survive.

Just be reasonable. Think, how would we survive without oil?

And why not use Canadian tankers and Canadian pipelines instead of being hostage to foreign oil and tankers?
