My wife and I went for a nice walk in Kenna Cartwright Park above Home Depot last week.
It’s a nice wide trail which was obviously cleared by professional people a while back.
The view of our city from various points along the way is breathtaking and we and our two small dogs enjoyed it immensely. Except for one thing — the extreme number of piles of doggy-doo that a lot of people carelessly or thoughtlessly or just plain lazily left for us to try and avoid.
We were astounded when, as we were about to pick up our own dog’s pile with a baggie, we noticed dozens of other piles within our view alongside the path.
All this with a large garbage can and a doggie bag dispenser not far away.
We are dumbfounded to the point of being angry that some people just do not care what an eyesore this is. It truly detracted from what otherwise would have been a very pleasant stroll.
The next time any of you culprits take your dogs out for a stroll, kindly diaper them or pick up two or three bags from the dispenser that you will most likely brush against when you pass through the gate.
Whoever you are, and there must be many of you, we are disgusted by your total lack of consideration for the rest of us who are wanting to be out enjoying the beauty that our city has to offer.
I only wish I could witness you not cleaning up your mess because I would take a picture of you and your dog and hopefully your license plate because I will report you and feel quite good about it.
