Author in town to talk about book critical of foreign policy

A Canadian author whose latest book criticizes Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s foreign policies will be at the Smorgasbord Deli on Monday night as part of a 19-city book launch.

Yves Engler’s The Ugly Canadian: Stephen Harper’s Foreign Policy, documents Canada’s current standing on the international stage, touching on topics including the tar sands, mining industry and international environmental efforts.

The talk begins at 7 p.m., is free to the public and sponsored by the Kamloops chapter of the Council of Canadians.

The Smorgasbord Deli is located at 225 Seventh Ave.
