Regarding the poll on the Kamloops Daily News’s website, the way it is phrased is rather poor: “Should Clover, the kermode bear at the B.C. Wildlife Park, be set free?”
The way this is written suggests some bias on the part of the question. If we want to keep the bear in the wildlife park we are required to say that we will deny its freedom.
Very few people want to simply deny this bear its freedom. Those wishing to keep the bear have concerns about its release back into the wild.
Although a simple mistake, this type of question might skew polls.
