A Kamloops firefighter rescues a cat from a house fire at 617 Comox Ave. Monday at about noon on the North Shore. Residents of the rental unit downstairs escaped without injury while neighbours could see smoke and flames coming from the kitchen. No one was upstairs at the time. The cat, whose name is Precious, was one of two cats in the home. The other cat wasn't found at the time and Precious was returned to its owner waiting outside.
