Skates and 'stashes hit ice for Movember

Movember's prostate-cancer fundraising efforts reach the McArthur Island Sports and Event Centre Sunday with a free family skate from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The City is co-sponsoring the event with Tim Hortons, the TRU WolfPack and Kamloops Storm.

Those who are wearing moustaches — real or fake — could win prizes. There will even be face-painting available for those who forget their 'stash.

Donations of $2 are being accepted to go toward prostate cancer and male mental health programs.

And don't forget to take a helmet along with your skates.
