The union representing 42 workers at Progressive Rubber Industries has served 72 hours strike notice.
The Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union said it has a 97-per-cent strike mandate, but noted that both sides are looking for a solution.
"We are close to an agreement but not close enough," said CEP national representative Bob Hughf in a press release.
"We still need to resolve wages, length of the agreement, RRSPs and benefits."
Progress Rubber Industries is on Chilcotin Road on the reserve.
