It was something of a lost weekend for the KIJHL’s Kamloops Storm.
The Storm was beaten 7-4 by the Eagles in Sicamous on Friday and then came home to lose a pair of games at the McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre, 5-3 to the Castlegar Rebels on Saturday and 4-2 to the Revelstoke Grizzlies on Sunday.
Last night, Brayden Beckley, with two, Austin Donaldson and Devon Hascarl scored for the Grizzlies, who scored two power-play goals and another while shorthanded.
Rourke O’Briain and Jacky Lu replied for the Storm.
Revelstoke goaltender Aaron Brandoli stopped 38 shots, the same number as Marcus Beesley of the Storm.
On Saturday, the Rebels scored the game’s last two goals.
Devin Oakes, Josh Rasmussen and Daniel Buchanan scored second-period goals for Kamloops, which trailed 3-0 after the opening period.
Castlegar’s Jamie Vlanich broke a 3-3 tie at 16:47 of the second, just 18 seconds after Buchanan had pulled the Storm even.
Beesley stopped 38 shots, 10 more than the Rebels’ Connor Beauchamp.
The Storm (12-10-2-2) is third in the Doug Birks Division, three points behind the Eagles (13-5-2-3) and two ahead of the Grizzlies (11-8-3-1).
The Storm next plays Tuesday when it visits the Chase Heat (6-15-2-1).
