Police accompanied a man home Sunday so he could tell his two young daughters that their mother had been killed in an accident, Kamloops RCMP said Monday.
The 42-year-old woman died when a tree fell on her as the two were cutting wood on an unnamed forest service road off of Lac Le Jeune Forest Service Road at about 3:30 p.m.
Staff Sgt. Grant Learned could provide no other details. The name of the deceased is being withheld at the discretion of the B.C. Coroner Service.
Police Victim Services is working with the 47-year-old man and his girls.
