Coroner identifies Kamloops woman killed by falling tree

The B.C. Coroners Services has identified Melissa Jane Boisclair, 42, of Kamloops, as the woman who was killed by a falling tree Sunday near Lac Le Jeune.

The accident took place as she and her husband were felling trees for firewood on a remote forest service road.

Ambulance paramedics attended, but Boisclair died of her injuries at the scene.

Kamloops RCMP said Monday that officers accompanied the woman's 47-year-old husband home so he could tell his two young daughters what happened.
