A 25-year-old man was expected in court Monday morning to face charges of robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, and uttering threats, Kamloops RCMP said.
The man was arrested just before midnight Saturday after a knife-point robbery at the Summit Drive Panago pizza restaurant.
Officers caught him asleep in a basement suite in a home on the 200 block of Robson Place.
He was found with cocaine and also faces drug possession charges in connection with an outstanding warrant from a previous incident.
Staff Sgt. Grant Learned noted the man has substance abuse problems.
"There are underpinning issues to his lifestyle."
