Three teens taken to RIH after accident near Pinantan

    Mark Rogers

A car lies in the ditch after an accident near Pinantan.

Three teenage boys were taken to hospital at about 4:30 p.m. after their car clipped a pickup truck about six kilometres west of Pinantan.

The 17-year-old driver lost control and the car crossed in front of the truck. The Acura wound up in a ditch and was badly damaged.

The boy's parents arrived from Kamloops to see them loaded into an ambulance. The younger two are aged 13 and 14.

Their mother, Nadeen Locke of Pinantan, was especially worried about the oldest boy because he is a hemophiliac. Otherwise the injuries appeared non-life-threatening.
