The NorKam Saints are set to play host to the Big Kahuna senior girls icebreaker basketball tournament today and Saturday.
The Saints will open today, 2 p.m., against the Valleyview Vikings. Other games today include the Kelowna-Rutland Voodoos playing the Salmon Arm Jewels (3:45 p.m.), the West Kelowna-Mount Boucherie Bears meeting the Prince George-Duchess Park Condors (5:30 p.m.), and the Penticton Lakers taking on the Williams Lake Thunder (7:15 p.m.).
All games will be played at NorKam Secondary.
The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday — 11:30 a.m., and 1:15 p.m. — with the final to be played at 8:15 p.m. Other Saturday games will be played at 8 and 9:45 a.m., 3, 4:45 and 6:30 p.m.

Allison MacInnes’s Kamloops rink has qualified for the Scotties B.C. women’s curling championship next month.
MacInnes, curling with sister Grace, second Diane Gushulak and lead Jacalyn Brown, won a qualifier in North Vancouver on the weekend. Grace MacInnes lives in Langley, Gushulak in Vancouver and Brown in Port Moody.
MacInnes was one of three rinks to qualify on the weekend — Williams Lake’s Simone Groundwater and Victoria’s Pat Sanders also earned berths at provincials, which are scheduled for Jan. 14-20 in Cloverdale.
Roberta Kuhn’s Vernon rink — which features Kamloops’ Karla Thompson at third — also qualified for provincials at a recent qualifier in Vernon, as did New Westminster’s Marilou Richter and Prince George’s Patti Knezevic.
There will be 10 teams at provincials — the six qualifiers will be joined by defending B.C. champion Kelly Scott of Kelowna and Cloverdale’s Marla Mallett, who leads B.C. teams in the Canadian Team Ranking System points. The other two teams will be determined at an open qualifier in Prince George from Dec. 14-16.
