    Pedestrians have some responsibility

I can’t believe the number of people getting hit in crosswalks. While I do feel bad for the families when a loved one gets hit by a car, where is the responsibility of the people crossing the road?

When I was a young kid, my parents taught me to look both ways before crossing a road.

Also, don’t assume the vehicle is going to stop for you. You must make eye contact and wait for the vehicle to come to a complete stop. Why do people continue to cross without looking first?

Some responsibility has to be put on the individuals crossing the street, as it can also be very hard to see people in dark crosswalks. Don’t just assume the vehicle is going to stop.
