    Minor Hockey: Major midget Blazers scheduled to play ISC

    The Thompson Blazers of the B.C. Major Midget Hockey League are bringing their show to Kamloops this weekend.

    The Blazers, who play out of Chase, will play two games against the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds at Interior Savings Centre. They’ll drop the puck Saturday at 7:15 p.m., and Sunday at 12:45 p.m.

    The T-birds are 4-16-2 and in ninth place in the 11-team league. The Blazers (1-19-2) are 11th.

    The Blazers’ roster features 15 players from Kamloops.

    Riley Polacik scored three goals Monday night, helping Dirty Brian and the Boys to an 8-6 victory over the Outlaws in a Midget Recreational hockey game at Brock Arena.

    Dylan O’Grady and Josh Campbell added two goals each for the winners, with Tyson Johnston also scoring. Campbell and Darion Nordick each had two assists. Jake Birkland and DJ Lapierre shared the goaltending.
    Jordan Bigham and Jordan Kealty, each with two, Cooper Jordan and Ty Puoco replied for the Outlaws, who used Kaleb Priestly and Caelen Holling in goal.
