In our mailbox in Brocklehurst, we have received letters from Britain, Australia and sometimes from South America, in six to 10 days from the time they were mailed. We recently got a letter from downtown Kamloops, two weeks after it was mailed from there.
Canada Post has continued its tradition of increasing the price of stamps while reducing the level of service. The letter in question was from the Kamloops Symphony, dated Nov. 22 and containing among other things, announcement of their annual meeting on
Dec. 4.
It arrived on Dec. 6, having travelled from Kamloops to Vancouver to be sorted or lost for a week, then back to Kamloops and ultimately to our mailbox. Thank you very much Canada Post!
