Regarding Government Oversteps In Grow-Op Case (The Daily News, Dec. 19).

I’m concerned about the lack of information this ministry worker had yet she has the power to remove children from families. With great power comes great responsibility.

How can this worker make this factless claim and this family then have to spend time, money and worry in order to satisfy the ministry they can keep their family intact when the whole issue stems from a power-tripping woman bent not on fact but personal opinion in taking children away from their family.

This new medical marijuana law isn’t exactly new, yet this woman who works for a branch of government doesn’t have any knowledge on the change in law or even what the city she works in has for bylaws.

Don’t these workers have any ongoing education toward changes in the law?

Also when the RCMP decides everything is up to par and no law is being broken, shouldn’t that satisfy the ministry? How does this woman have the power to make these people leave their house and pay for tests when they didn’t break any law or pose any threat to their children’s safety?

How many other families has this person destroyed based on her power tripping? If this kind of action has been displayed shouldn’t her past cases be reviewed?

Let’s hope for our children’s sake this person loses her job as an example to the rest to do some research to better perform their jobs.

I know lots of ministry workers do a great job but some deserve to be fired and their past cases reviewed for horrible calls that affect families.
