    Elderly Kamloops man missing

Police are asking the public's help in the search for a missing 82-year-old Kamloops man who suffers from dementia.

Donald Sandner went missing from his home in the 1100 block of Pine Street, where he lives alone.

He was expected on the afternoon of New Year's Eve for his daily visit to the Hilltop Avenue assisted living facility where his wife lives.

    But he never showed.

Police say Sandner also suffers from diabetes.

He is described as five feet five inches tall with grey hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone spotting Sandner is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
