Two men are expected to be in provincial court Monday to face charges after they were arrested for breaking into Columbia Motor Inn early Sunday morning.
The two men and a woman were stopped in a vehicle at about 3:30 a.m. by officers responding to a report of masked men forcing their way into a guest's room.
A 45-year-old man faces charges of breaking and entering and wearing a disguise. A 27-year-old man faces charges of breaking and entering and failing to comply with probation orders.
The 27-year-old is also looking at charges of assault with a weapon, breaking and entering, and failing to comply with probation in connection with a home invasion on Dec. 29 at 6:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Fortune Drive.
Property seized from the suspects' vehicle may lead to more charges.
The 41-year-old woman was released without charges. The 27-year-old man is considered a prolific offender.
