A free seminar at the North Kamloops library makes a bold claim: "to get the whole family excited — yes, excited! — about healthy eating."
The event on Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m. is hosted by dietitian Laura Kalina and personal trainer Cheryl Christian. It's based on their book, Low GI (Glycemic Index) Meals in Minutes Cookbook.
The agenda includes:
* Preparing tasty and nutritious meals in minutes.
* Creating a calm and happy eating environment.
* Shopping for healthy food and saving time and money in preparation.
* Adding fitness to your daily routine.
The event is free but seating is limited, so participants are urged to contact the library to reserve a spot.
