The B.C. Coroners Service has identified the man who died in a snowmobile incident near Valemount on Tuesday.
He was Richard Allan McDonald, 61, of Kamloops.
McDonald had been operating a snowmobile along the clearing between the roadway and tree line off Highway 5. He was found pinned under the machine.
Efforts to resuscitate him failed, and he was pronounced dead at the Valemount Health Unit.
