The chief of the Tk'emlups Indian Band is calling on the Assembly of First Nations to call a special chiefs meeting.
Shane Gottfriedson said it's important to have a national dialogue about what should happen after the Idle No More meetings with Prime Minister Stephen Harper in Ottawa Friday.
He said several issues need to be sorted out, including how to approach land claims, resource sharing and a new financial relationship with the federal government.
Gottfriedson said First Nations people are on the move, and their leadership needs to be organized as well.
