Lieutenant Governor Judith Guichon will present Queen Elizabeth II diamond jubilee medals to five Interior ranchers on Jan. 30, 6 p.m., at the Coast Kamloops Hotel & Conference Centre.
The Queen’s representative, a distinguished rancher in her own right, will make the presentation along with David Haywood-Farmer, president of the B.C. Cattlemen’s Association, and Travis Toews, past president of the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association.
All of the recipients are from outside of this region: Linda Allison (Princeton); Len Bawtree (Enderby); Ron Buchanan (Charlie Lake); Rudy Johnson (Williams Lake); and Morrie Thomas (Okanagan Falls). The awards recognize their valuable contribution to the B.C. cattle industry.
