I think a certain Mr. Koopmans needs to better educate himself on Canadian gun laws and regulations. Point being, firearms are already banned in Canada! As per the criminal code of Canada, the mere possession of a firearm is a criminal offence unless you have been granted permission by the state.
On a side note, we should be thankful that most legislators do not use the same failed logic as Mr. Koopmans. Otherwise the next time someone is killed using a sport car, they would try to ban them...because there are no real needs for those. The next time a drunk driver kills another innocents, we will be reliving the prohibition years…because (again) there are no real need for alcohol.
