    Westsyde ice rink’s condition shameful

City staff should be ashamed of the condition of the outdoor rink at Westsyde Park. A bunch of us got together there on Jan. 21 and many of us left with injuries from falling because of the poor ice.

There are at least 10 or more spots where the cement below is visibly showing. Not only that but the ice is no more than an inch thick, and there’s a foot or two of snow all around the boards. One kid couldn’t have been older than 10 caught an edge on a cement patch four or five times, smacking his head repeatedly.

This is a beautiful rink equipped with lights, boards, nets, etc. Please do something about this!
