Group offers chance to chat and learn about international development

KGAN — the Kamloops Global Awareness Network — holds another of its International Development Drinks gatherings Wednesday night, 5-8 p.m., at the Frick and Frack Tap House, 577 Victoria St.

The infrequent gatherings offer a chance to chat, debate, socialize and network with others interested in international development.

Colin Reid will speak about the YMCA's partnership with YMCA Ethiopia. David Denbigh will talk about a community development project in Nepal supported by World Neighbours Canada. Developing World Connections and the CanGo Grannies will also offer updates on their activities.

There will be free appetizers for those who arrive early at the all-ages event. The network is supported by the B.C. Council of International Co-operation.
