All of the fuss about heavy trucks on Highway 5A is totally misdirected. The problem is not the road. It is the idiot drivers, of both trucks and non-commercial vehicles, who drive as if the road was the Coquihalla Highway.
If you want to do something about it, try enforcing the speed limits, and insisting that drivers drive to suit the road conditions.
