Ashcroft RCMP are pinning their hopes on tips from the public to help catch shotgun-wielding men who broke into a cabin last summer.
The break-in took place around Aug. 8 and was reported to police on Sept. 3. The pair stole camping items.
"Most concerning to the owners and police was the fact that the suspects were armed with a shotgun at the time, and shot up several abandoned vehicles on the property as well as at the cabin itself," Cpl. Dan Moskaluk said.
The owner of the cabin captured images of the suspects on a mounted motion sensor camera.
They are described as in their 20s to 30s, slim to medium build, wearing T-shirts, shorts, ball caps and sunglasses, and sporting unshaven goatees.
The vehicle they used was a newer white Dodge Ram pickup truck, with a wood or metal "headache rack" behind the cab.
"Hidden motion sensor cameras that are used for everything from capturing wildlife to property security are very useful for any property owner," Moskaluk noted.
