A total of $115,027.86 was raised during DreamLift day at Wendy's restaurants on Wednesday.
Over the last 19 years, the restaurant chain in B.C. has raised $1,224,384.85 for DreamLift, which sends children with severe physical disabilities and life-threatening illnesses to Disneyland.
The total includes the gross profits, wages and salaries from all the staff, management and ownership of the nine Wendy’s Restaurants in Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Vernon, Kelowna, West Kelowna and Penticton.
In Kamloops, the fundraising effort was assisted by a visit from Lt. Tom Behrens of the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Volunteers from the department meet the children and escort them to Disneyland.
