A jaywalker crossing in the 200 block of Victoria Street Wednesday at about 11:20 p.m. was taken to hospital with minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle.
"The pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and crossing at an unexpected dark location on the street, which appears to have contributed to the collision," Staff Sgt. Fran Bethell said.
Investigators have determined that neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the accident.
The man who was hit suffered cuts and bruises. The woman driving the vehicle that hit him was not hurt.
