This is the first time I have ever written a letter to your newspaper; it’s kind of sad but also nice that someone as far away as Calgary cares enough about animals to write a reply to Mel Rothenburger and his silly example of dangerous dogs.
If Dave Durand lived in Kamloops I would look him up and give him a big kiss.
I was angry when I read Mel's letter since we just lost our beautiful Staff terrier last year to cancer. She was the sweetest loving dog you could imagine. Mr. Durand's letter brought tears to my eyes and I hope he knows how much we all appreciate his wonderful words. Let's see if Mel has anything to say now.
