City's pit bull supporters plan awareness event

    submitted

Campbell is a one-year-old pit bull adopted by Kara Evans through HugABull last spring.

Pit bull lovers are invited to take part in an information and awareness event on Saturday at Bosley's Pet Food Plus.

Members of the HugABull Advocacy and Rescue Society will show off foster dogs and provide applications for people wanting to foster dogs of their own.

Proceeds from the sale of goodies and merchandise will go toward helping foster dogs in HugABull's care.

A representative of Five Star Dog Training and a photographer from Creature Focus Photography will answer questions.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bosley's is located at 404-1801 Princeton-Kamloops Highway in the CityView Mall.

HugABull is a registered non-profit organization and community of pit full owners, advocates and enthusiasts. Their mission is to rescue dogs, provide public education and build a community of responsible owners and supporters.

Visit the HugABull website at www.hugabull.com for more information.
