Three members of the Kamloops Old Dogs show their smiles as they are fitted for head-to-toe hockey gear with a combined value as high as $6,000 Wednesday night at Dolson's Source for Sports. The three oldtimers hockey players were recognized with the gear as a reward from Bauer Performance Sports. The men, relaxing at the Anavets Clubhouse after an afternoon hockey game, ran to the rescue of a woman who fell through ice on the Thompson River. Their story caught the attention of media across the country. The story was a perfect fit for Bauer's Own the Moment program which has a branding campaign called Heroes Always Leap into Action.
