Ottawa is giving Logan Lake $138,300 to make its recreation centre more accessible to seniors and people with physical challenges.
The money will be used to construct new entrances and install an elevator to the second floor.
“Logan Lake’s demographics makes it one of the oldest communities in B.C.,” said Mayor Marlon Dosch in a statement. “And with this much-needed funding from Western Economic Diversification Canada and the federal government, we will be able to increase the accessibility and functionality of our recreation centre for years to come.”
