Wow, six million dollars to resurface the Overlanders Bridge. You can’t help but remember the millions in cost overruns of the Valleyview bike path, or whatever you want to call it, and how far it was behind on completion date.
Are you taxpayers starting to shiver yet? All I can say is prepare. Take the $6 million, add an additional 50 percent, and be ready to sit in traffic six months after the original completion date.
You know the excuse will be that costs do go up, with no recourse back to City management that approved the bid.
