A wood-burning stove was likely the cause of a residential trailer fire in Rayleigh Monday night.
Kamloops Fire and Rescue investigator Dan Funk said Tuesday the blaze on Palmer Forsyth Road destroyed the structure and a nearby truck and camper.
Funk combed through the wreckage on Tuesday and was still waiting late in the afternoon to speak to the trailer’s tenant before making a final determination on the cause of the fire.
No one was in the trailer at the time of the fire.
Assistant chief Curtis Bossert said Tuesday morning that firefighters quickly had the blaze under control after getting a call at about midnight.
"We surrounded it and drowned it."
