The third Kamloops Arts Council Juried Art Show and Sale is underway, with three local artists awarded top prizes for their work.
Catherine Dalfort won first place for her etching Piercing, Jewell Shaw came in second with the mixed media work La Luz and Kristen Atkins’ fibre art Winter Solstice was award third prize.
Prizes for first, second and third place are $300, $200 and $100 respectively.
A panel of judges handed out the awards during the show’s opening night event on Feb. 15.
The juried art show continues until Sunday at the Old Courthouse Cultural Centre, 7 Seymour St. West, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.
