Kudos to WestJet. On Jan. 9, I was supposed to fly from Calgary to Kamloops on Flight 348 at 7:30 p.m.

There was a raging snowstorm and many other flights were cancelled due to the weather. As the departure time for my flight got later and later, I despaired of getting home that night.

A pilot from WestJet, who I found out was the pilot for my flight, came and sat with me and other passengers who were going to Kamloops. His name was Capt. Jamie, and he expelled any concerns (and fears) that he could fly us home quite safely, as he had done the same flight many times before. As we flew home he chatted to the passengers, told us jokes and made it to Kamloops in record time.

I will never forget how human and caring this WestJet pilot was on that night. WestJet is extremely fortunate to have such a compassionate person, who took the time to talk to his passengers, working for them. Thank you Capt. Jamie!
